Welcome to The Arts Society North Hertfordshire

The Arts Society North Herts is one of the local associated societies of the national 'The Arts Society' and we extend a very warm welcome to anyone interested in joining us or just visiting for the occasional lecture. Please explore this website to find out more about us and what we do.

We have over 200 members who meet on the first Thursday of the month except in January and and on occasion August (this year, 2026 we are delighted to be holding a lecture on "The History of the Celtic Harp" on August the 6th). Our lectures are in the morning and are given by highly qualified speakers on all aspects of the Arts.

Lectures are held at the Letchworth Cinema and are presented in the cinema auditorium using state-of-the-art laser projection and surround sound audio.

Applications to the Society for A Grant for Local Area Projects

The Arts Society North Hertfordshire (TASNH) intends to support arts and arts heritage in the local area through a grant giving programme that reflects the objectives of the Society. 

Here you will find our Grants Policy Guide for applicants to put forward relevant projects for a grant. It will enable groups and projects seeking funding to understand the process and to submit applications in the required form with the necessary information.
